One year down and loads to go!

Happy first birthday to us

It’s been an amazing first year for The Regional Wanderer.

Since our official launch in 2018, we’ve fallen in love with what we’re doing and have well and truly achieved our aim of opening the door to the Macedon Ranges, delivering experiences that our guests wouldn’t ordinarily have been able to access.

Our eating and drinking adventures that visit the best of our region, and our relaxed treks through our natural attractions, have truly enabled our guests to “Meet the people (and) See the Place”.

And while we’re talking guests, we’ve not only welcomed visitors from all over Melbourne, Victoria and Australia, but also from as far away as the USA, UK, China, Taiwan, New Zealand, Japan and Spain.

“But it was our Spanish guests Carlos and Miguel that stand out from the crowd”, said The Regional Wanderer’s owner and founder, Shane Caruana.

“These guys travelled with us after winning a competition with Cosmopolitan TV in Madrid to celebrate the launch of the new Picnic at Hanging Rock mini-series. After flying out from Spain, they joined us for a private and exclusive tour of Hanging Rock followed by an Australian wildlife encounter at our private zoo partner – it was seriously something else for them and for us!”.

Launching The Regional Wanderer has been an absolute dream come true. We get to live in one of the most beautiful regions in our state and we then to get to share it with people from near and far.

The good news is, because we’re always looking for new ways for our guests to experience our wonderful piece of Victoria, the next 12 months will see the introduction of some new and exciting adventures that will continue show the best of the Macedon Ranges like never before.

Shane said, “We’d just like to say thanks to all those who have travelled with us so far (and for our amazing TripAdvisor and Facebook reviews) and also to our suppliers. We honestly can’t wait to meet our next bunch of wanderers”.

Life is an adventure and the adventure has well and truly started!
